Sometimes a movie doesn’t just run in theaters, it walks straight into conversations, memes, and now, another industry. Dragon, Pradeep Ranganathan’s February 2025 release, has done exactly that. After striking gold at the Tamil box office, whispers from trade circles suggest Bollywood is already preparing to give it a fresh Hindi avatar.

The film’s success is no surprise, considering Pradeep’s earlier Love Today also found its way into Hindi as Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Now, with Dragon’s mix of comedy, drama, and sharp social commentary, producers are keen to replicate the magic for a wider audience. Although the official nod is yet to come, pre-production talks have already stirred excitement.

At the center of Dragon is Ragavan, an engineering dropout who works his way to success but gets caught up in his past. The movie is a funny and touching story about ambition, errors, and making things right, which really connected with younger viewers. With actors like Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in key roles, the film became a big hit both with critics and audiences.

As for Pradeep, the ride isn’t slowing down. He has Love Insurance Kompany lined up for a Diwali 2025 release, featuring Krithi Shetty and a galaxy of big names, followed by the romantic action-comedy Dude. With one film already rumored for a Hindi makeover and two more in the pipeline, Pradeep’s career is less a climb and more a rocket launch. And if Dragon finds its wings in Bollywood, the roar may just echo louder across industries.
