Pragya Jaiswal Reveals What Makes Balakrishna a Legend!

Pragya Jaiswal made her film debut in 2014 with the Tamil movie Virattu, followed by her Hindi and Telugu debuts with Kanche. While her career didn’t immediately take off, it was her collaboration with Nandamuri Balakrishna that marked a turning point. Starting with the 2021 hit Akhanda, followed by Daaku Maharaj, Pragya found continuous success alongside Balakrishna. Their partnership has now extended to Akhanda 2, where Pragya will reunite with the legendary actor for a third time.

In a recent interview, Pragya spoke about her growing success with Balakrishna and shared her thoughts on their age difference. Reflecting on the success of Daaku Maharaj, which released on her birthday, she said, “It’s been an incredible start to the year for me. The response to my role as Kaveri has been overwhelming. Everyone has started calling me ‘Daku Maharani.’ The character has given me immense satisfaction as an actress, and portraying a pregnant woman struggling for her unborn child was a new and rewarding experience. It really made me realize the strength of women.”

Pragya also spoke fondly of working with Balakrishna, describing him as a legend who radiates positivity. “When you think of Balakrishna, you think of positivity. He is a straightforward person and respects everyone equally. I’ve learned so much from him,” she added. When asked about the age difference between the two stars, Pragya emphasized that she never sees age as a barrier. “Age isn’t an issue when it comes to selecting roles. What matters is whether I’m giving 100% to the character I’m playing. After Akhanda was released, I was surprised by how well we looked together on screen.”

In addition to her work with Balakrishna, Pragya is also gearing up for Tyson Naidu, where she will star alongside Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, further expanding her filmography.
