Sequel Madness: Rajamouli must be appreciated

In the current day market, the Indian film industry is being ruled by sequels. In the recent past, we have seen KGF 2, Tillu Square, Pushpa 2, and others set the box office on absolute fire. While this trend might be producing astounding results now; there is one man who must be credited for kickstarting.

This highly lucrative proposal in the first place. This man is my mother than the biggest commercial film maker in Indian Cinema SS Rajamouli. It was Rajamouli who first kick started this trend of sequels. He did it with the epic Baahubali 2 which was a box office monster.

Ever since the second part of Baahubali erased every existing record at the Indian and global box office, the culture of making subsequent films based on the original has become increasingly relevant. The likes of KGF, Pushpa, and others have followed same suit.

While the entirety of Indian cinema might be celebrating this box office cheat code. Now it must be noted that Rajamouli is the mastermind behind this, and he deserves every bit of credit for opening up this otherwise unrecognised avenue for the Indian box office.

After Rajamouli, pleasantly excited and accelerated the audience with the second part of Baahubali, other filmmakers gradually understood the opening of this new market and started to explore it. It shall be noted that Prashanth Neel, Sukumar and others have followed this path and have tested utmost success.

All these directors who are benefiting from this sequel, prospect must be thankful for Rajamouli for paving the way for them.
