Ram Charan and Sukumar are coming together again for a new film, which is being referred to as RC17. Since the announcement, the movie has created strong interest among fans. The main reason is simple. Ram Charan and Sukumar have already delivered one of the biggest hits of their careers with Rangasthalam.

Now, producer Ravi Shankar has reportedly said that RC17 will be made on a scale that can surpass Rangasthalam. This statement has increased the expectations around the project. The movie is also expected to begin shooting in November, and fans are waiting for more official updates.

However, one interesting question is coming up among movie lovers. Why is almost every new Ram Charan film being compared with Rangasthalam?

Rangasthalam has become a special film in Ram Charan's career. His performance, Sukumar's direction and the village-based story worked extremely well. The film also showed a different side of Ram Charan and became a memorable success. Because of this, it has become a benchmark whenever a new Ram Charan movie comes with an emotional or rural backdrop.

But this comparison can also create unnecessary pressure.

Ram Charan's latest film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, also had huge expectations. Buchi Babu Sana is a disciple of Sukumar, so many people expected the film to have the emotional strength and storytelling quality seen in Rangasthalam. There was also a lot of talk that Peddi could become another important film in Ram Charan's career.

However, the response did not completely satisfy all sections of the audience. This once again showed that having a connection with Sukumar or his style does not automatically mean a film will reach the level of Rangasthalam.

That is why RC17 should ideally be judged as a new film. Sukumar is now returning to Ram Charan after several years, and both of them have grown as artists. Sukumar has delivered successful films after Rangasthalam, while Ram Charan has gained more popularity globally.

Instead of repeatedly saying that RC17 will beat Rangasthalam, it may be better to create a fresh identity for the movie. If the content is strong, the film can naturally become another major milestone in Ram Charan's career.

For now, the Rangasthalam comparison is creating huge hype. But the real answer will come only after RC17 reaches the audience.
