The Tamil movie Karuppu, which is also released in Telugu as Veerabhadrudu, finally hit theatres on May 15 after facing many problems before release. The film stars Suriya in the lead role and is directed by RJ Balaji. Actress Trisha Krishnan also played an important role in the movie.

After the movie was released, a video from a Chennai theatre became viral on social media. In the video, director RJ Balaji became very emotional while watching audience reactions in Rohini Silver Screens theatre. He shouted loudly with happiness and celebrated the response coming from fans. Many people compared his reaction to a famous emotional scene from the movie Jersey, where the hero celebrates his success with tears of joy. Though the film was getting mixed response, directed reacted in a high way.

RJ Balaji could not control his emotions because the movie faced many struggles before release. Reports say the film was supposed to release on May 14, but financial problems delayed the release by one day. Because of issues related to KDM files, several shows were cancelled at the last minute. Even though special permissions were given for early morning shows in Tamil Nadu, theatres could not screen the movie on time.

Another problem happened when the movie was accidentally played in some theatres in Mumbai and Pune before the official release. This created fears about piracy among the makers. Despite all these issues, the movie finally reached theatres and received a positive response from many fans.

In the viral video, RJ Balaji was seen crying emotionally after fans shouted his name inside the theatre. At that moment, Trisha hugged him and tried to comfort him. Actor Karthi and music director Sai Abhyankkar were also present there and smiled while watching the emotional moment.

Trade experts believe the movie may collect around Rs. 25 crore on its first day. The film was reportedly made with a budget of nearly Rs. 140 crore. Fans on social media are mostly sharing positive reviews about Suriya’s performance, action scenes, and the emotional story.
