Can One Film Face More Problems Than Recent Tamannaah’s Movie

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s upcoming film Vvaan: Force of the Forest seems to be facing one problem after another. The film has created curiosity because of its unique folklore-based story, but several recent developments have now raised questions about its theatrical release.

The biggest issue is the major changes happening behind the scenes. Reports suggest that a large part of the film is being reshot and edited again. Director Deepak Mishra, who was associated with the project from the beginning, is reportedly no longer part of the film. Following his exit, changes were also made to the original creative team.

The film is now said to be going through an important editing process under the guidance of producer Ektaa Kapoor. Editors Niraj Kothari and Sahir Raza are reportedly working on the new version of the movie. There are also reports that Sidharth Malhotra asked for around 17 more days of shooting to improve important parts of the film.

The climax and action scenes are said to be among the portions being worked on again. This has put extra pressure on the team because the movie is currently planned for a September 25, 2026 theatrical release.

Vvaan has another major challenge as well. The film is expected to face competition from the Avengers: Endgame Encore release on the same date. The popularity of the Marvel franchise could affect the number of screens and show timings available for Vvaan, especially in big cities and multiplexes.

The film has also received mixed reactions to its teaser. Some viewers felt that the teaser did not create the expected excitement. Questions were raised online about the visual effects, production quality and overall presentation.

Vvaan was earlier expected to arrive during Chhath Puja. Its release plans were later changed, with the film eventually moving toward September 25.

The movie is set against the forests of Central India and is inspired by Indian folklore. The makers reportedly used real forest locations to give the story a natural and authentic look. With reshoots, creative changes, teaser criticism and a major release clash, Vvaan appears to have a difficult road ahead.
