Suriya’s Veerabhadrudu (Karuppu in Tamil) has opened to disappointing reviews and mixed word-of-mouth, but the film is still getting good collections from the mass pockets. After a long phase of setbacks, even this level of commercial survival comes as a much-needed relief for the film’s leading man, Suriya. But interestingly, the film’s result is now creating another discussion altogether. Especially, Allu Arjun fans are a bit worried now.

Well, the reason for their worry is none other than music director Sai Abhyankkar. The composer who has already started his work on Allu Arjun-Atlee’s massively anticipated sci-fi entertainer Raaka, has come under criticism for Veerabhadrudu. Many reviews noted that the songs failed to make an impact, while the background score was excessively loud in several sections, especially in the second half. Though previously he has impressed with his work on movies like Dude, somehow Veerabhadrudu is giving jitters. Can he deliver the needful for Raaka, and that question is now worrying Bunny fans.

Sai Abhyankkar was initially projected as the next big sensation, almost as a possible alternative to Anirudh, the busiest composer in the south. Atlee has built his whole career on Anirudh’s songs only, and now he got Sai onboard for Raaka, making the unexpected switch. While expectations have reached peaks for sure, Allu Arjun is known for delivering musical chartbusters, and the young composer should live up to that.

Especially after songs like Vachundai Peelings and Kissik, surely the whole of nation expects terrific songs from Allu Arjun’s movie. We have to see what Sai Abhyankar will do now.
