Is Tamannaah’s Paycheck Worrying Tollywood?

After starting her Tollywood career back in 2005, Tamannaah Bhatia never looked back. Be it due to her ravishing presence on the screen, acting prowess or taking up any role that came her way, the actress has seen many ups and downs, but has been in the business for almost 20 years, unlike any other heroine. But then, it looks like currently things are not going her way.

During the times of Baahubali, Tamannaah was already out of form, and many wondered why Rajamouli even considered her for the role of Avantika. But that film gave oxygen to her career, and in a short time and she rose to the national level after that. Though she hasn’t succeeded as a main heroine in Bollywood, her item numbers and OTT acts became the talk of the town. But though she is currently busy in Bollywood, she has no offers here in Hyderabad. Wonder why?

Some say that after her item songs in Bollywood clicked, she’s demanding more than ₹5 crore per song and similarly for a film. That’s why she has no films in Telugu at the moment. While she’s been in the industry for almost 20 years here, so naturally offers dry up, the recent dry up also seems to be of the fact that she signed with a Bollywood Big Casting House as her representative, and they are quoting sky-high prices for her dates.

Worried about that hefty paycheck, many Telugu producers are right now not even approaching Tamannaah even for some songs or roles opposite aged star heroes these days, they say.
