The trailer of Rakasa kicks in with strong energy, opening up a folklore world that feels expansive, textured and instantly engaging. Building on the teaser’s intrigue, it sharpens the film’s narrative space, blending ritual, survival and humour into a tone that feels both rooted and cinematic.

It begins with the powerful voiceover, “కోటలో ఉన్నది, ఊరు బలి పంపుతున్నది సామాన్యుడికి కాదు, భీకర బ్రహ్మ రాక్షసుడికి,” setting up a system built on fear and belief. A sealed fortress, recurring sacrifice and ritual-driven order define the village’s existence. As Sangeeth Shobhan’s Veera steps in, the rhythm begins to shift. Familiar moments slowly turn uneasy, with humour slipping in naturally even as tension builds. Forewarnings like “ముందుగా ఉల్క రాలుతుంది,” “రాత్రికి రాత్రి పశువులు కలేబరాలుగా మారుతాయి,” and “బ్రతికి బయటపడాలంటే, బలి పంపాల్సిందే” reinforce a cycle that feels unavoidable.

The trailer’s visual scale stands out, drawing you into torch-lit interiors, textured environments and towering fortress spaces. There’s a clear progression—from grounded village life into an expanding supernatural threat—while the background score builds in sync, moving from lighter tones into a more intense, atmospheric surge.

Beyond the visuals, the film is clearly finding its space among audiences. The title glimpse crossing 1.9 million views and the teaser moving past 3 million, along with songs like “Rapappa,” “Padhe Padhe,” and “Snake Dance” hitting the million mark, point to a steady rise in recall and repeat engagement. That growing pull is now shaping the film’s release footprint, with a wide domestic and international rollout planned, including overseas premieres on April 2, 2026.

Led by Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika, the film brings together a mix of performers including Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi and Getup Srinu, adding tonal variety to the narrative. Backed by Niharika Konidela and Umesh Kumar Bansal under Pink Elephant Pictures, in association with Zee Studios, and directed by debutant Manasa Sharma, the film is supported by music from Anudeep Dev, visuals by Raju Edurolu and editing by Anwar Ali.

With anticipation building across both content and audience response, Rakasa is set for its worldwide theatrical release on April 3, 2026.
