The stage is set for the flurry of theatrical releases this Sankranthi season as we have a bunch of new films arriving at the box office in a short span of time. We now have the likes of Game Changer, Daaku Marahaj and Sankranthiki Vastunnam which are the mainstream films that are releasing this festival season.

However, there is a catch here as the Pushpa 2 mania has certainly gripped Tollywood. All the discussions now are on Pushpa 2 and this is the focal point of debates now. Not many are discussing about the Sankranthi films.

What this essentially means is that the Sankranthi films have just around three weeks to make some noise and gain the desired attention. They will all have to come up with exciting stuff to entertain the audience this festival season.

Most importantly, we have a pan Indian outing in the form of Game Changer and this film must go strong at the box office, given Ram Charan's heroics with RRR. The expectation is that he will followup RRR's success with this film now. He must surely be up for the task this time around. It is about time that he starts the promotional campaign.

We then have Nandamuri Balakrishna's Daaku Maharaj up for release on the 12th of this January and this is a big budget project as well. It too must come with a strong promotional campaign and it is about time that the makers get started with the same.

Lastly, we have Sankranthiki Vastunnam with Venkatesh in the lead role. This film also has a lot riding on it and the expectation is that it must deliver big time. A lot will depend on the way Dil Raju strategically packages it as a proper Sankranthi entertainer.

All in all, there are a handful of theatrical outings that are up for release in the coming month and they will all have to make do with the limited time at hand and spin a winning promotional campaign.
