100 Cr Sankranthi BO: How Many Days It Took?

As we reported earlier, this Sankranti season was a super special one for Tollywood as each and every film that released this festival weekend, managed to gross over ₹100 crore. However, the discussion now is about the amount of time that was taken for each of the Sankranti films to have collected over rupees hundred crore gross.

Considering the scale of the film and the star cast associated with the same, Game Changer could collect Rs 100 crore gross in just 2 days. This is a pretty significant achievement for the film, but that did not necessarily translate into commercial success, considering the massive costs that are involved.

On the other hand, we have Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daku Maharaj, which managed to reach this 100 crore figure in four days. This is one of the best performing films of Balakrishna and certainly his fastest 100 crore grosser.

Lastly, we have Sankranthiki Vasthunnam which collected Rs 100 crore gross in three days. Again, this is the fastest film of Hero Venkatesh to have touched the 100 crore mark. This could very well be the most profitable film this Sankranti season, considering the investments that are involved and the kind of reception that it is getting at the ticket counters.

Coming to the sheer value of the theatrical returns and the business involved, Daku Maharaj is the first clean hits of Tollywood for the year 2025, and it is closely followed by Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. It is good to see that Tollywood has gotten off to the right start this Sankranti season with 2 out of the three new films, having made pretty good theatrical revenues.

Now that the Sankranti season is done and dusted, we have to see which of these films will be holding the fort at the box office. The natural expectation is that Sankranthiki Vasthunnam which is a family entertainer will have a natural advantage over the other two films.
