Tollywood Focusing More On Sequels!

Whenever there is a hit formula, a lot of filmmakers try to run behind it. Only some of them manage to get the right formula and succeed while others fail trying to replicate it. It all started with Rajamouli starting the trend by releasing 'Baahubali' in two parts. After that, 'KGF' became highly successful too and many star heroes and directors are making their films in two parts or coming up with sequels of their hit films.

As we know, the second part of Pushpa titled 'Pushpa: The Rule' is hitting the screens on 15th August 2024. In the same manner, we have 'Salaar 2: Shouryangaparvam' which is yet to go on floors. NTR's 'Devara' which started out as a single film got spilt into two parts. 'Hanu-Man' team announced at the end of the film that 'Jai Hanuman' will be released in 2025.

Boyapati himself revealed that 'Akhanda 2' is on the cards. Siddu Jonnalagadda made a continuation to 'DJ Tillu' and named it 'Tillu Square'. It will arrive in theatres soon. Talented hero Adivi Sesh is making 'G2' which is a sequel of 'Goodachari'. Puri Jagannadh and Ram are currently making 'Double Ismart' which is the sequel of 'Ismart Shankar' which came in 2019.

Nani announced that 'HIT 3' will be made and he will be the hero this time instead of Vishwak Sen and Adivi Sesh. Anjali and Srinivas Reddy who entertained us with the horror comedy 'Geethanjali' 10 years back are coming back with 'Geethanjali – Malli Vachindi'. There is talk of about Nikhil's 'Karthikeya 3' and Sai Dharam Tej's 'Virupaksha 2' as well. Even a small film like 'Maa Oori Polimera' got a sequel. Looks like sequels are the order of the hour these days.
