Life sometimes feels like a tiny flickering diya in a huge dark room, shaky, uncertain, but when the right person is near, it just glows steadily. For Vaishnavi Chaitanya, that person is her mom. The ‘Baby’ movie actress tells how her family, her little dog Bujji, and the Diwali vibe together make her world warm. “If the environment is good, everything around feels good. That’s why I try an eco-friendly Diwali,” she laughs. Even with film schedules, she loves decorating, planning gifts, and yeah… worrying about Bujji, who hates loud crackers.

In her house, the Diwali madness starts a week ahead. Lamps, flowers, balcony plans, all sorted. Mom took over the market runs this year (Vaishnavi didn’t get the chance) and brought back everything. Puja here is a whole ordeal, from morning till night, ending around eleven. Only then do they start celebrating properly, sweets, chatter, maybe a little bit of dancing around. And yes, Bujji is included. Firecrackers are kept simple. No crazy noise. Eco-friendly for the planet, and less stress for the pooch.

Outfits? Sarees mostly, all day long. But when it’s time for crackers, she switches to a chudidar or sharara, saree just doesn’t make running safe. But honestly, it’s never been about the clothes. The real light? Her family. Mom, Dad, brothers, Bujji. “Mom is my ultimate inspiration. My strength comes from her,” she says casually, like it’s obvious. Her smile is for them, their love is for her, and somehow, it all balances perfectly.

And the memories… little Vaishnavi hiding from crackers, scared silly, but her whole family standing around, lighting candles, whispering encouragement. Sweet, funny, and a little chaotic. She hasn’t celebrated Diwali on movie sets yet, but imagines the laughter, the sweets, the random photo clicks with everyone there. For her, Diwali isn’t just lights and noise, it’s about the people who truly light up your life.
