"OG Started It, I'll Continue It”: Varun Tej

Varun Tej is busy promoting his upcoming horror comedy Korean Kanakaraju, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. The film is set to release in theatres on August 7. Ahead of the release, the makers held a grand pre-release event in Bhimavaram, where Varun Tej spoke with great confidence about the movie. He said the entire team strongly believes in the film and expects audiences to enjoy it with their families.

Varun Tej said the film is made to entertain everyone. He announced that special premiere shows will be held in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from the night of August 6 because the team is confident about the final output.

Talking about the recent success of the Mega family, Varun said that the winning journey has already started and he hopes to continue it with Korean Kanakaraju. He said, "Our family's success journey started with OG. During Sankranti, our Shankara Varaprasad garu created a big impact. Ram Charan anna also delivered a wonderful performance with Peddi. I may not reach their level, but I will try to continue this success in my own way with Korean Kanakaraju."

The actor also shared his excitement about visiting Bhimavaram again. He remembered coming to the town during the promotions of Tholi Prema in 2018. Seeing the energy of the fans, he said he feels the same magic may repeat once again with this film.

Varun praised director Merlapaka Gandhi and said he has excellent comedy timing. He expressed confidence that the film would become another big hit in the director's career. He also appreciated the producers for supporting the project from the beginning and thanked the entire cast and crew for their hard work.

Speaking about music director Thaman, Varun made everyone laugh with a funny comment. He said, "For the last 10 days, I have spent more time with Thaman than with my wife. He has given life to this film through his background score." He added that music plays a very important role in the movie and praised Thaman for always giving his best to every hero's film.

Varun also appreciated his co-stars Ritika Nayak and Sathya. He called Ritika a wonderful co-star and wished her more success. Speaking about comedian Sathya, he joked, "Finding Sathya's dates for this movie was as difficult as finding gas during the America-Iran war." He said Sathya was the perfect choice for his role and their combination would entertain audiences throughout the film.

Ending his speech, Varun thanked his fans for their continuous support. He said, "This is a film you will be proud of. Every movie lover can watch it with their family. We are bringing the film one day early because we truly believe you will enjoy it."
