Korean Kanakaraju Performs Well on Monday

Varun Tej’s latest film Korean Kanakaraju is continuing its good run at the box office. After getting a positive response during the weekend, the film also showed decent strength on Monday.

The weekday performance is important for any movie because collections usually fall after Saturday and Sunday. However, Korean Kanakaraju is still attracting audiences.

The film stars Varun Tej and Ritika Nayak in the lead roles. Merlapaka Gandhi directed the movie, while UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments produced it. Sathya, Sunil and Muraleedhar Goud are also part of the important cast.

Korean Kanakaraju received positive talk from the paid premieres itself. The movie combines horror and comedy, giving audiences an entertaining experience. According to early trade estimates, the movie collected around Rs. 4.20 crore net in India on its first day. It earned around Rs. 4.15 crore on the second day. The third day was even better, with the film collecting nearly Rs. 4.85 crore net in India. This took its three-day India net total to around Rs. 13.20 crore.

The overseas market has also contributed well to the movie’s overall performance. The film has received a good response in countries such as the USA, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Gulf regions. The USA has been one of the stronger overseas markets for the movie.

The makers have also announced that the film crossed its break-even target within three days. The worldwide gross was reportedly above Rs. 37 crore by the end of the third day. This has put the movie in a profitable position, according to the team.

Monday was a crucial day because weekday collections normally come down after the weekend. Early tracking suggested that the film had already collected around Rs. 1.40 crore net in India by Monday evening. More collections were expected from the night shows.

Trade estimates suggested that Monday’s worldwide gross could be around Rs. 5–6 crore. If the film continues to maintain steady collections on weekdays, Korean Kanakaraju could enjoy a strong theatrical run in the coming days.
