Actor Varun Tej has spoken openly about the online trolling that he and his family have faced over the years. During a recent interview held as part of the promotions for his upcoming film Korean Kanakaraju, the actor shared his personal experience with social media criticism.

Varun was asked how he deals with trolling and negative comments on social media. He said that he does not mind people criticizing his acting or his films. He said that everyone has the right to share their opinion, and honest criticism helps an actor improve.

However, Varun said things become painful when people bring family members into the discussion. He explained that it hurts him when trolls make personal comments about his loved ones. He added that if someone says something bad about him, he can handle it, but it becomes much more difficult when the comments target his wife or other family members.

The actor also recalled an incident from the time when his debut film Mukunda was released. At that time, he was only 23 or 24 years old and was very excited to know how audiences had reacted to his first movie.

Varun said he started reading film reviews and accepted the critics' opinions. Most reviewers wrote that the movie was decent and that he had performed well. He had no problem with those reviews because they were about his work.

But while reading the comments below the reviews, he came across a few posts that included insulting remarks about his family. Those comments deeply upset him. He said he felt very hurt and stopped reading comments for some time because he could not handle the negativity. He also said he cried for sometime because of those comments.

As he grew older and gained more experience in the film industry, Varun said he understood that such trolling is unfortunately a part of a celebrity's life. He realized that actors must stay mentally strong and avoid giving too much importance to negative comments.
