It is a patriotic, edge-of-the-seat entertainer and will showcase our Air Force heroes on the front lines and the challenges they faced as they fought one of the biggest, fiercest aerial attacks that India has ever seen.
Such films need the approval from the Ministry of Defence (MoD). Movies on real incidents that happened in Indian Defence need their permission to go ahead. Also, many filmmakers ask for permission to shoot at army camps. The Ministry of Defence doesn't give permission to everyone as they are very particular on what the filmmakers show to everyone. They have rejected 16 scripts from different production houses that planned to make movies based on the Pulwama attacks.
It was the script of Varun Tej's 'Operation Valentine' which managed to convince the Minister of Defence. Apparently, they were highly impressed by the realistic approach of the makers. They gave permission to shoot at a very secure Air Force base at Gwalior. The team shot for 40 days and offered their full support to the team during the production stage. The trailer of 'Operation Valentine' clocked over 20 million till date and this explains the craze over the movie.
After the massive success of the 2022 release 'Major', Sony Pictures International Productions has produced this movie. Manushi Chillar is the heroine while Ruhani Sharma had a vital role to play in this film. Ali Reza and Navdeep play important characters while Mickey J Meyer gave the music.
