Opinion: Imagine How Jana Nayagan Openings Will Be!

In the wake of Superstar Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) almost leading in 109 seats, just 9 seats away from the 118 magic figure of the Tamil Nadu assembly, now there is widespread talk on what will happen to the fate of “Jana Nayagan” movie. Apparently, the film was blocked by a special committee, the Censor Board (CBFC) and then High Court as well, saying that it has a political color that might help Vijay in the upcoming elections. Now that elections are over, and Vijay is likely to form a government, what will happen to Jana Nayagan.

Trade talk is that “Jana Nayagan” will now be a victory treat to the Tamil Nadu audience, from Superstar Vijay. If the film releases in just a couple of weeks after Vijay takes oath as Chief Minister of the Dravidian state, surely that’s likely to have a positive impact on the film’s openings. Some say that the film might debut at the box office with more than ₹100 crores opening on Day 1 itself, and the producer KVN Productions will have a field day upon the release.

Already, there is talk that Vijay’s movie team is talking to Jana Nayagan producers to add a special 5-minute video to the movie, where they will show how Vijay entered politics, gave speeches, got ridiculed by various leaders, and finally won with a grand margin in the whole of Tamil Nadu. If this video is attached, for sure it's likely to become a rampage by Jana Nayagan in theatres.

Though Jana Nayagan is already watched by Tamil Nadu audiences, in the form of Balakrishna’s Bhagwant Kesari, which they have watched after Jana Nayagan got delayed for more than 4 months, this victory of Vijay is going to rewrite all the theories.
