Compared to a few decades earlier we have cures for many diseases. There are a few diseases that are not curable and they are only controllable.
Cancer is one disease for which we cannot find a good cure. Cancer is also one of the leading causes of death in the world. Enough of Cancer care as a big breakthrough was made in treating the condition as a medicine was found which is very effective.
The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) found a tablet that makes wonders in patients who already survived the condition once. What makes Cancer deadly is that once it is cured the Cancer cells would damage the system again.
But the tablet the TMC found works in a way that stops the cancerous ones from affecting the body. Besides stopping the resurgence of Cancer, the wonder tablet is also said to be effective in bringing down the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy.
Tata Memorial Hospital Senior cancer surgeon Dr Rajendra Badve explained the path of the study. He said that Human cancer cells were implanted in rats and then they were treated. After the cancer cells implantation, the rats developed tumors. For this, they were given radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
The senior surgeon said that after the Cancer cells die due to treatment the cells would turn into small pieces and they are called Chromatin particles. Through the bloodstream, these particles go to body parts. With their emergence, the healthy cells also become cancerous ones.
The magic tablet did not come out in a single day. The efforts have been going on for a decade now. All the hard work and efforts gave a positive outcome as the tablet was found.
Having found the medicine it is being reported that they have applied for FSSAI. Once the approval is granted then the medicine would be released into the market. The cost of the tablet would be around Rs 100.
