200 cars, 2000 bikes for Munugode bypolls?
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Oct 2022 5:13 AM GMTThe ruling TRS has decided to adopt altogether a different approach for Munugode elections. Realising that several leaders in Huzurabad had played a double game with the party during the bypolls, the party top leadership this time wanted to keep an eye on its own leaders. It has deployed a team of sleuths who would keep a tab on the party workers and their movements.
The party, which does not want a repeat of Dubbak and Huzurabad defeats, is sending daily reports to the TRS boss. He has also been keeping a tab on the activities of the rival party activists. Meanwhile, the TRS is said to be busy giving doles to ensure a good attendance at the party meets, rallies and processions. It is also said to be organizing dinners to woo the party workers.
At the same time, it has accused the BJP of purchasing 200 cars and 2000 vehicles for the campaigning in the constituency. The BJP naturally has refuted it. There is said to be a demand even from the TRS cadres that they should be gifted cars and bikes so that they too can speed up the election campaign.
In another development, the TRS reportedly paid a huge amount to Karnati Venkatesam, the TRS ZPTC member, who joined the BJP, to return to the TRS fold. Minister and party working president KCR is said to have personally met and influenced Karnati to rejoin the TRS. The TRS is planning a public meeting in Chandur on October 30.
