After Gold And Biryani, Its Turn of Liquor ATM!

New technologies help us in doing things easily. Automated Teller Machines (ATM) are one such innovation. They help us in getting money whenever we want without going to the banks. When people run out of cash, they simply go to ATMs. Recently, Gold ATM was launched in Hyderabad. A few months back, a gold ATM was set up in Hyderabad which is dubbed the first one in the world.
Now liquor ATM was launched and people can get liquor from their preferred brands by just selecting them. Liquor vending machines were set up in Tamil Nadu inside a mall. The idea is said to be giving good results and people are showing interest to buy liquor from the ATM.
Usually, liquor shops have certain timings and we cannot get liquor after they are closed. But people can now get liquor anytime they want as the malls are open for longer hours. The machine was set up by Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation(TASMAC) at a famous mall.
It is said that based on the response they get, the Tasmac authorities would set up the machines in other malls as well. If the idea gets clicked then liquor sales would go up bringing more revenue to the state government.
Liquor ATM works in a way that a menu of liquor brands available will appear on the screen. People can select the brands and pay the amount online. Once the payment is made then liquor bottles will be dispensed. The ATM comes with an inbuilt cooler as well.
However, there are concerns about the growing alcohol consumption and the opposition leaders are saying that the ruling party should focus on bringing down the liquor consumption. On the other hand, there are doubts about whether under-aged people will be restricted from buying liquor bottles are not.
