Ahead Of KCR's Possible National Party, Few parties offer Merger!
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Oct 2022 5:42 AM GMTThe leaders from the southern states foraying into national politics and shining there are very rare. Though a few leaders became Prime Ministers and Presidents, they did not create any impact on national politics. A few decades back, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao who founded Telugu Desam Party entered the big arena of national politics.
Now another leader from Telugu land is all set to foray into national politics. Telangana Chief Minister KCR is eyeing national politics. While NTR brought all the opposition parties under one roof against the grand old Congress party, KCR is focusing on bringing an alternative front at the Centre.
It is said that he will announce his national party today on the big occasion of Dasara. Ahead of this, KCR received big support as a popular party expressed its interest in merging with the national party that would be announced today.
As per the media reports, the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi party which fights against caste discrimination and other social evils reportedly announced the merger of the party. The chief of the party based in Tamil Nadu reached Hyderabad the other day and we might hear big news on the possible merger.
The Tamil Nadu-based party has huge respect for Dr. BR Ambedkar and draws big inspiration from his ideology and views. On the flip side, KCR has been showing huge respect towards the Father of the Indian Constitution.
Dalit Bandhu scheme which aims at empowering the Dalit community was announced and a lending hand is being given to the community so that they can start their own entity and provide employment for others. The Secretariat was named after Ambedkar and he even asked the Union government to consider naming the new Parliament building after Ambedkar.
All these factors might have made the Tamil Nadu-based political party show interest in merging into the KCR's new party. There is a lot of negative image towards the Bharatiya Janata Party among the left parties and parties that won't favor the Right-wing ideology.
It is also said that, besides Tamilnadu's Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, a few other parties reportedly showed interest in merging with the national party. If the same happens, then it would help the new party in spreading wings in other states too.
