Ambati Rambabu in trouble: Reddys want Sattenapalli

YSRCP's firebrand leader and most vocal batter for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, minister Ambati Rambabu, appears to be in deep trouble. He is risking the danger of losing his party ticket from his constituency of Sattenapalli in Guntur district. His own party men are said to be working against him and are bringing pressure on the party's top decision makers not to make him the party candidate again.
Ambati is one of the strongest supporters of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and has defended him on many an occasion with his verbal diatribes and histrionics. It is because of these fighting qualities that he has been made a minister. Though his ministry is irrigation department, he allocates more time to defend YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
But, this appear to have changed in Sattenapalli. The spate of telephone call leaks which showed his steamy side and his comments against the Kapu community have pushed him to a precarious position. He is now said to be on the defensive. His own partymen, mainly those from the dominant Reddy community, are up in arms against him.
They want the party ticket to be given to a Reddy candidate in the 2024 elections. At least two names are doing the rounds. The names of Reddy leaders Varaprasad Reddy and Vijayabhaskar Reddy are doing the rounds. However, Ambati's supporters say that he would contest from Sattenapalli only. But, as of now, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has not given any reassuring signal to Ambati Rambabu. This is said to be his biggest cause for worry.
