Andhra Pradesh Registers Less Than 800 Covid-19 Infections

In a piece of good news, the fresh Coronavirus infections, which have been decreasing for some weeks gradually fell even further. The new development can be seen as a good sign of progress.
The health bulletin issued by the state health department stated that Andhra Pradesh registered 733 fresh Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours. The new addition of infections pushes the total case count in the state to 8,66,438.
The state also witnessed a massive dip in fresh Covid-19 fatalities in 24 hours with six casualties. So far, a total of 6,976 patients have succumbed to respiratory disease.
The good news is that, so far, a total of 8,47,325 patients have been declared cured of the virus, including 1,205 fresh recoveries registered in the past 24 hours. The state's recovery stood at over 90 percent. The active cases stood at 12,137.
Looking at the tests conducted, a total of 99,13,068 samples were tested in the state, while 57,752 samples to detect Coronavirus infections were conducted on Thursday alone.
East Godavari continues to be the worst -affected region in the state with 122152 positive infections, followed by West Godavari(92168), Chittor(83518), and Guntur(72678).
