All eyes were on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy when it was announced as India was hosting the series. Cricket fans across the globe showed interest in the series to see an intense battle between mighty Australia and team India. Australian fans and former cricketers predicted that Australia would win the series to take revenge on India as the Virat Kohli led team won two series till now.

But the reality turned out to be different than predicted by Australian fans. India won the first match with a thumping margin. The Indian team led by Hitman Rohit Sharma crushed the mighty Aussies by an inning and 132 runs. What's even more frustrating for the Australian team is that Indian tailenders scored more runs than their top-order batsmen.

Team India is hoping to take forward the lead by winning the second test and the Australian team is aiming to make a comeback by winning the second test. Amid this, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy saw a big twist as the venue of the third test was changed.

The Cricket governing body in India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to shift the third test to Indore's Holkar Stadium from the earlier fixed Dharamsala. The body announced the same.

The BCCI stressed the climate in Dharamshala and said that due to the climate, there is no grass in the required size and it requires some time for the grass to grow and that's why the venue was changed. "Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully," the BCCI said.

The Holkar Stadium in Indore has been hosting white-ball games. As of now, it hosted 5 One Day matches and 11 T20s. In the last ODI match the stadium hosted, India crushed New Zealand by a big margin as Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma scored big centuries.

The Holkar Stadium hosted two Tests so far and the upcoming test will mark the third test it has hosted. India wants to win the series so that it can qualify for the World Test Championship(WTC) finals.
