AP Employees Associations objects PRC Panel Recommendations!

The employees' associations in Andhra Pradesh that have been fighting for their demands had reacted to the recommendations placed by the committee of secretaries to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the recent meeting chaired by the latter to look into the protest started by the employees.

Reacting to the committee recommendations, the employees' associations had made it clear that there is no way that they will accept the recommendations. Not stopping there, the associations announced that they will meet the Chief Minister to list out their demands.

To give an insight into their further course of action, the Andhra Pradesh Employees Associations addressed the media. Speaking on the occasion, the representatives said they will meet the Chief Minister and expressed their hope that the Chief Minister will listen to their issues and concerns and address them at the earliest.

Highlighting the importance of the issue of the implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC), AP JAC and AP JAC Amaravati leaders said, it is one of the demands they have placed before the government and opposed the committee's recommendations.

The leaders said that the recommendations of the committee on implementing the pay scales on the grounds of the Centre will not benefit them at any cost. When we look at the salaries of the Central Government employees and Andhra Pradesh employees, there is a huge difference between the pay scales.

So implementing the PRC similar to that of Centre guidelines is not a beneficial one for us. We will not take any break in our protest to fulfill our demands. Until the government gives us an assurance that the PRC would be implemented, the protest will not be stopped, the employees said.

However, AP JAC and AP JAC Amaravati leaders have welcomed Andhra Pradesh's government decision to upload the PRC report on the website so that everyone can have a look into it.

Having said that, the leaders said, a new committee was formed by them to look into the PRC report. The committee constituted by the employees' associations will also take the responsibility of acting as a bridge between the Employees Associations and the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, the leaders said.
