By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Feb 2022 6:40 AM GMTThe Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is very strong in its decision to develop the shore city Vizag as a major attraction. As part of this, the government had proposed the idea to have three capitals for the state.
CM Jagan revealed his plans of developing the shore city during the meeting with the members of the Tollywood film industry. Having proposed the idea, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister had invited them to shift their base to Vizag and they will get lands to set up studios there.
As a shot in the arm for the efforts to develop the film sector in the state, the government is said to have focused on developing the film studios.
Not just Vizag, two other cities were picked by the government and the procedure for the same will kick start soon. Other facilities to enable shooting there might also be provided reportedly.
As studio establishment requires a good amount of land, the concerned authorities of three cities have reportedly received directives to zero on land that can serve the purpose of setting up the studio establishment.
Going by the media reports, Andhra Pradesh wants to decentralise the development of film sector in three cities in the state. Vizag, Rajamahendravaram and temple City Tirupati were finalised for the studio set up.
A firm was also reportedly finalized to look after the operations to oversee the requirements like gathering the lands that will be used to set up the studios.
Once the procedure for the same gets completed, the firm is expected to send a detailed proposal to the government. Then the government might invite bids for the enthusiasts to build studios in the proposed cities.
If the media reports appear true and the idea pitched by the Andhra Pradesh government gets work, we might see three big studios coming in the state.
There is already a studio in the city of Vizag. As per the alleged proposal, more studios will be set up in the three major cities so that the facilities will match the needs of film production in three big cities.
