Are High profile visits from Delhi unnerving TRS top brass?
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 May 2022 12:30 PM GMTFirst it was Congress top boss Rahul Gandhi. Then BJP's national president Jagat Prakash Nadda came calling. Now, BJP's second most important leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah is in Hyderabad. In the meanwhile, Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai, Goa CM Pramod Sawant and other VIPs too made their visits to Hyderabad.
Hyderabad sure is fast emerging as the most sought after destination for politicians. The leaders from both the Congress and the BJP are making a beeline to Telangana to attack the ruling TRS. They feel that the TRS is facing severe anti-incumbency due to its unpopular policies. Hence, these two national parties are focusing on Telangana to dislodge KCR.
The public meeting that Rahul Gandhi addressed in Warangal was a huge success and the turnout was beyond expectations. His speech was well-received. Rahul Gandhi also made it clear that the Congress would not have any truck with the ruling TRS, which, he said, has lost the confidence and trust of the people.
Now, BJP strongman Amit Shah is in Telangana. He has come to attend the conclusion of the second phase of Bandi Sanjay's Praja Sangrama Yatra. That the TRS leaders, including Kalwakuntla Kavitha and KTR have resorted to the Twitter war shows that the TRS is alarmed at the trooping in of these leaders. It feels that the frequent visits of the BJP leaders is an indication that the party is taking Telangana politics quite seriously.
