At least 10 TRS ministers facing severe anti-incumbency: survey
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Jan 2023 5:00 AM GMTIn what is being seen as a shock to the TRS top leadership, there is a high level of anti-incumbency against at least ten of the 17 ministers under KCR. These ministers are facing rough weather in their respective constituencies and the surveys have suggested that they should be replaced by more acceptable candidates for the 2018 elections.
Several internal surveys commissioned by KCR have shown that several MLAs too face severe anti-incumbency. In accessibility, domination by close coterie of leaders and henchmen, excessive interference by family members and relatives, several instances of high corruption are being touted as the chief reasons for the anti-incumbency.
If sources are to be believed, the ministers from the BC and the Reddy community are facing an uphill task. One minister from the Reddy community is always mired in controversies. Similarly, there are several cases of womanizing and corruption against a minister from the North Telangana region.
Sources say that KCR has personally warned these ministers that they should mend their ways and improve their image in the public. Otherwise, they would be replaced by more acceptable candidates. KCR is said to be serious about these and the other MLAs, who are facing tough times in their own constituencies.
