Nandamuri Balakrishna won with a majority of around 16,000 votes contesting from Hindupur in 2014 Elections. TDP never failed to win in Hindupur since 1983. The fact that Balakrishna is a celebrity, first-timer and TDP-BJP-JSP alliance factor worked in his favour.
2019 Elections won't be as easy as that of 2014 for Balakrishna. This is mostly due to the countless controversies involved by him in the recent years. First and foremost, The manner in which he kept manhandling his own fans or party workers made many people develop an aversion. Controversy involving Balayya's PA and Not being accessible to the people of the constituency might work against him.
If he faces defeat in Hindupur, Balakrishna will be mocked for his 'blood & breed' claim and his reputation gets damaged further. Telugu Desam Party is doing everything it can to help him emerge victorious.
