The political heat in Munugode increased at once after the by-poll notification was released. The major parties in the state took the election prestigiously and kept themselves busy in campaigning. The ruling and opposition parties already announced their candidates and they are giving their best in campaign activities.

Recently, reports said that money and liquor bottles were seized in Munugode by the cops. It is believed that money and liquor were brought to distribute to voters to translate the gifts into votes in the ballot box.

The ruling TRS which wants to win the polls has appointed key leaders for the campaign. Even the Ministers and MLAs were also kept on the job. But a Minister brought a big headache for the government by landing in a big controversy. He was spotted partying with others.

Minister Malla Reddy who often runs into controversies did the same. After participating in the campaign, the Minister reportedly went to a hotel. In the viral picture, we can see the Minister and a few others sitting before a table. Minister was pouring liquor into a glass.

A cabinet Minister getting spotted serving liquor gave a big opportunity for the opposition leaders to target them. He is facing severe criticism over the new picture and everyone is asking how come a Cabinet Minister does all this.

The picture could cost the ruling party a big time given the intensity of the Munugode by-poll. All three major parties are confident of winning the polls. The opposition parties are alleging that the ruling party might use its force to win the polls. Minister Malla Reddy's picture with a liquor bottle only added fuel to the allegations.

However, the Minister has a different version of the story. Malla Reddy said that the viral picture is from his relatives' house and the people who were in the picture are his brothers and brothers-in-law.

The Minister said that he was invited by his relatives and he served them liquor. Having said that, Malla Reddy asked what is wrong with serving liquor to relatives at a party held at a relative's house.
