Ahead of the much-awaited Munugode by-polls, the sensational news of the Bharatiya Janata Party reportedly trying to buy the MLAs of the ruling TRS spread like a wildfire. The four MLAs who were contacted to make the deal informed the cops and three people were taken into custody for further investigation.

As per the media reports the meeting happened at a farmhouse and four MLAs were offered Rs 100 crore each to shift their loyalties to BJP from TRS. The farmhouse is in police custody now and the cops are said to be conducting searches to find more information.

All of a sudden the TRS MLAs making sensational allegations on alleged operations to take them on the BJP side has raised a new doubt on whether it was TRS's mind game to frame the saffron party ahead of the Munugode bypolls.

The current sensational news drew a comparison with the cash-for-vote scam in 2015. Just like now, the old scam also popped up ahead of an election. As the Telugu Desam Party was caught red-handed in the alleged scam, the grand old party stopped looking at Telangana and has been focusing on Andhra Pradesh alone.

The timing of the new controversy made everyone think that just like a cash-for-vote scam, the scam might also be the master plan of the ruling party to land the opponent in big trouble.

For the past few days, TRS has been alleging that the BJP is spending money like water to get the voters to win the by-polls. The new allegations add fuel to the allegations that the Bharatiya Janata Party is ready to go to any extent to expand its footprint in the state.

On the other hand, a few media reports say that after informing the cops about the alleged meeting to poach the MLAs, the ruling party legislators reportedly visited Pragathi Bhavan and they are asked to come to the official Chief Minister's residence without speaking to the media.

The TRS MLAs who made the allegations said that they informed the cops and spoiled the efforts as they want democracy to stay alive in the country and they are responsible legislators.
