BJP's Historic Decision Giving Fruits in Jammu Now?

The BJP took a few daring decisions in the past eight years and scraping the special rights of Jammu and Kashmir will go down as the most daring step. Besides the parties in Jammu, the opposition parties and others slammed BJP on the need behind doing so. Two years after scrapping Article 370, the decision is seeing its fruits reportedly.
The Indian government said that Jammu and Kashmir recorded the highest tourist presence in the region. Crores of tourists visited the region. A Union Cabinet Minister said the same taking to the microblogging site Twitter.
Trade and Industries Minister Piyush Goyal in his tweet said that since January this year, Jammu and Kashmir recorded a footfall of 1.62 crores. The Cabinet Minister said that the numbers are the highest since India got Independence.
Not just that, the Cabinet Minister also credited the transformative initiatives taken by the Narendra Modi government to boost the tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
It has to be mentioned here that, a few decades back makers used to shoot some scenes in the valley so that the beautiful locations will give a grand look. But the makers stopped shooting there, after the situation turned intense there.
As the special status was scrapped, the status quo changed there. Recent sensation Sita Ramam was shot there. Recently, the Indian government also said that non-locals can also buy properties there. It looks like, the decision is giving fruit after two years.
