The country is mourning the death of the highest-ranking officer in the Indian Military forces Bipin Rawat who passed away on Wednesday after the Army chopper he was traveling crashed near Tamil Nadu's Coonoor area. Besides Bipin Rawat, 12 others, including his wife, were also killed in the crash.

Amid this, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy, who never shies away in speaking his heart out, had come up with a new demand that the crash incident should be probed by an outsider like a Supreme Court judge. In a series of tweets, he battled for the demand.

MP Subramanian Swamy said that there are a few doubts about the death of Bipin Rawat, his wife, and other military officers. Having said that there are a few doubts on this, the BJP MP opined that an inquiry should be started and a Supreme Court judge should lead the inquiry.

In another tweet, Subramanian Swamy also countered the claims of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who told the Parliament that the helicopter carrying Bipin Rawat and others crashed near Coonoor. Attributing a few verified sources of him, Swamy said that the video is not of the CDC helicopter, but a Syrian air force.

Not leaving there, Subramanian Swamy took an indirect dig at Rajnath Singh over his statements in Parliament and said we also should go by the statement issued by the Defence Minister in Parliament today.

Subramanian Swamy brought the demand hours after Rajnath Singh announced that a tri-service inquiry was launched by the Indian Air Force (IAF) into the matter. Swamy's tweets had started a new debate that the MP has doubts over the inquiry started by the Indian Air Force.

"Doubts about how CDC, his wife, and several senior military officers died is bound arise. Hence Govt must head the Govt inquiry by an outsider such as a SC judge," the BJP MP tweeted.

"I have verified from my best sources that the video circulating about CDS helicopter on fire while in a clear sky is actually of Syrian airforce and not of the helicopter fly the CDC. So all of us go by Rajnath's Statement in Parliament today," Subramanian Swamy said in another tweet.
