BJP to launch 'WhatsApp' War against TRS in Telangana

The BjP in Telangana is all set to launch a massive WhatsApp War against the TRS. This is the latest weapon that the BJP is pulling out of its quiver to out-beat the ruling TRS in Telangana. The party is planning to set up an extensive network of WhatsApp groups across the state. These groups would be present at the booth level.
If BJP internal sources are to be believed, the party is planning to use the broadcast method to disseminate instructions and information. Under this, at the single click of a mouse, information would reach the workers at the booth level in no time. This would help in instant mobilization of the cadres.
There are over 35000 booths in the state and WhatsApp groups would be formed for each booth. Every group can have up to 500 members. Assuming that at least 30 per cent members are present in other groups too, the total number works out to 75 lakh. These workers can be mobilized for snap protests and demonstrations to unnerve the opposition. The BJP would focus essentially on the youth and women for these WhatsApp group.
The TRS, especially its working president KTR has always criticsed the BJP as the a WhatsApp force. He also ridiculed the social media activities of the BJP. But, now it emerges that the BJP is all set to use the same social media to fight the upcoming state assembly elections.
