BRS begins social media war in a big way
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 April 2023 3:54 PM ISTThe ruling BRS in Telangana has laid special focus on the social media these days. With the elections fast approaching, the party's top leadership has begun building social media networks at every booth level. In every village, social media teams are being formed to influence the voters in a big way.
KTR is said to have instructed the party leaders, MLAs, ministers and others to form ten-member teams in every village to make the party's social media communications go viral. Active workers are being identified and are being made members of the social media teams. The party already has a central IT team, which will generate content in a big way.
These village-level IT teams would be trained in rebutting the allegations of the Opposition parties and to popularize the flagship programmes of the BRS government. They would highlight schemes like the Dalit Bandhu and Rythu Bandhu among the people. They would be asked to get the feedback from the ground level.
Sources in the BRS IT wing say that the party would form village level Whatsapp groups and these would be included in the broadcast system so that the content created at the top would percolate to the lowest level within a short time. The party has used the social media effectively in the 2018 elections and wants to do the same in the 2023 elections.
