BRS Slaps Two Rebel Leaders With Suspension!

The ruling party in Telangana TRS became BRS for national politics. The KCR-led party is aiming at recording a hat trick of wins in the general polls in Telangana and showing its impact on national politics. When the party is focused on its aims, a few issues are troubling the party and the leadership.
The party MLAs are hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons. They are facing shocking allegations. Earlier a sarpanch accused an MLA of sexual harassment. Besides this, a few leaders are not taking part in the party activities and are troubling the leader. The leadership kept a focus on such leaders.
The leadership swung into action and suspended two leaders. One former Minister and one former MP were suspended from the party. Jupally Krishna Rao(ex-Minister) and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy(former MP) were shocked by the BRS as they were suspended.
Jupally Krishna Rao is a senior politician who has been in politics since the 90s. He was with the grand old Congress party and served as Cabinet Minister in YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy's cabinets. He is a strong leader from the Mahbubnagar district. In 2011, he joined the TRS and won the 2014 polls. He was made the Cabinet Minister. But he lost the 2018 polls.
There are reports that he is having issues with the local MLA. He openly made controversial comments against the party a few times. At a recent Athmeeya Sammelanam programme, Jupally made some strong comments that the ruling party is suppressing democratic values. He joined the list of rebel leaders and started troubling the party.
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, a strong leader from the combined Khammam district is touted as the first rebel leader in the BRS. He is not taking part in party activities and keeping his distance from the party. Not just that, he is also making some problematic comments at the party of late. As the two leaders are going against the party of late, the leadership took the tough call and suspended them.
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy reacted to the suspension and expressed his happiness over this. Saying that he is happy with this, the former MP said he got freedom now. On the other hand, Jupally is yet to respond to this.
