Can These Election Promises Implemented?
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 May 2023 5:33 PM ISTIt is not wrong to have the aim of coming to power. But the main issue comes with the promises that are announced. All the parties are going for massive freebies to get the votes. They are not thinking about whether the promises can be implemented or not and what impact they can have on the government financially. People are also not thinking about this and are getting influenced by the schemes.
All these factors are in discussion now as the Congress wants to come to power in Telangana in the upcoming elections. Though there is nothing wrong with this, the youth declarations announced by the party caught everyone's attention. The event, attended by key leader Priyanka Gandhi became a huge success. During the same, she announced various promises that are surprising. The party said that it would fulfill as many as 2 lakh jobs after coming to power in just one year.
On the other hand, under the Nirudyoga Bruthi scheme, the unemployed will get Rs 4,000 every month. It is a big shock that the grand old party said that it would fulfill 2 lakh jobs that are vacant and on the other hand, they are announcing that they will give support to the unemployed by giving Rs 4,000 each. Not just that, they also announced that 75 percent of jobs would be dedicated to locals in private companies as well. Youth Commission would be set on the lines of SC ST Minority. Debts will be cleared by paying fee reimbursement.
Well, the promises did not stop there. Interest-free loans would be given to unemployed up to ten lakhs and IIIT Integrated Universities would be set up. Electric scooters would be distributed to female students. Among the promises, IIIT Universities and restricting 75 percent of jobs for locals can be implemented.
Because these promises would not have any financial burden on the government. Nirudyoga Bruthi, fee reimbursement, interest-free loans up to Rs 10 lakhs, and free distribution of electric scooters are not possible to implement. Fee reimbursement might be implemented based on the financial situation. But the rest are not possible. Despite all this, the leaders announced the massive schemes.
