CBI In Trouble In Farmhouse Case With Supreme Court's Verdict!
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Feb 2023 4:23 PM ISTCBI officers are unable to crack a way how to go further in the BRS MLAs' poaching row allegedly. They are facing trouble in taking further actions in the case. The bench of Telangana High Court led by the Chief Justice gave its verdict allowing the CBI to take over the case on the 6th of this month. CBI thought of filing an FIR in the case soon after.
The CBI officers have written to the state Chief Secretary seeking the pieces of evidence in the case. But the state government knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court challenging the verdict. It is said that there are no obstacles to filing an FIR. But the CBI officers are making their steps carefully. The Supreme Court which heard the petition on Friday posted the matter to the 27th of this month.
The possible next stop from the CBI is creating interest in this regard. It's been 11 days already since the High Court gave the order. But no activity has been started yet.
It is said that the CBI officers are waiting for the verdict of the Supreme Court to be out. It has turned out interesting to see if the CBI would be silent for 10 days as the hearing was posted on the 27th of this month. Or will it write to the CS again seeking the files?
The central agency Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has written to the Telangana government seeking files not less than six times. The government replied by saying that it will give a response after the hearing in the Supreme Court. It is said that the CBI officers have a chance of filing a contempt of court case if the case files were not given.
Recently, the Supreme Court made it clear that it cannot restrict the CBI in the Farm House case. This almost made the Telangana government lose the last option it had in the case. The government moved the Supreme Court challenging the verdict of the High Court allowing CBI to take over the case. Now it appears that KCR's efforts to use the episode to fight the BJP faced a big blow. The case might turn against the KCR government as per the current developments.
