The Bharatiya Janata Party is steadily heading towards a grand victory in Gujarat, its strong turf. The party which had won six consecutive general elections is all set to script history and record a seventh win. The specialty of the win is that the saffron party might end the elections by winning a record number of seats. The current trends say that the party might win over 150 MLA seats, the highest so far.
Since the elections were announced the focus is on Rivaba Jadeja who contested from the Jamnagar North seat constituency. She has been with the BJP for a few years and she was given a party ticket. Raviba Jadeja is the wife of Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
Raviba Jadeja won the elections with a big margin of over 50,000 votes. The AAP stood in second place while the Congress stood in the third position. She thanked the voters and party workers for the victory and credited the development done by the BJP for the victory.
Raviba Jadeja hails from a big business family. She was Rivasinh Hardevsinh Solanki before marriage and became Rivaba Ravindrasinh Jadeja after tying the knot with Jadeja. The interesting thing is that the Jadeja family has been strong Congress loyalists. Raviba's sister-in-law and father-in-law also campaigned against her and sought public support for the Congress.
Despite this, she joined the BJP. Before trying her luck in the polls, Ravina held a good position in the Karni Seena a Rajput body. She served as the women's wing president of the Rajput group Karni Sena in Gujarat.
