Congress Attacks BJP On Making Minister To Wait!
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Jun 2023 1:07 AM ISTThe Congress party and BJP had an aggressive fight in Karnataka in the recent elections. But the fight appears to not stop with both parties targeting each other. Recently, the Karnataka wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party said that it will start a protest if Congress fails to implement the election promises.
Now both parties are fighting over allegedly disrespecting a Minister. The Congress party is accusing the BJP of disrespecting its Minister and said that it is seeing arrogance in the saffron party for not respecting the Minister and not allowing its Minister to meet the Union Minister.
Karnataka's Food and Civil Supplies Minister K.H. Muniyappa took the appointment to meet Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Piyush Goyal. However, he was reportedly made to wait three days and the Congress party did not like it.
On top of this, the Union government is believed to have said no to rice supply which will impact the Anna Bhagya scheme. The state Minister alleged that despite having enough stock, the Centre is not supplying the rice.
Reacting to this, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah came down severely on the BJP and alleged that the party has a lot of arrogance, and that's why the Minister was made to wait three days despite taking a prior appointment.
The CM asked how a senior leader who earlier served as the Union Minister can be mistreated like this by making him wait. The Congress leaders are also questioning this and asking how a state Cabinet Minister can be made to go through this.
