Congress Remembers YSR On His Birth Anniversary!

He set a benchmark in implementing welfare schemes for the people. This made him a people's leader and today marks his birth anniversary. On the occasion, tributes are pouring in for the leader.
As today marks the 74th birth anniversary of YSR, the Congress party remembered the great leader and offered tributes to him. From the Chief of the party to MPs and Ministers, everyone is remembering the tall leader who left a big legacy.
Remembering the late leader, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge showered massive praises on him and called him a compassionate leader. Kharge said that YSR took the state on the path of development and welfare and no one can forget his contribution.
Former Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi also took the opportunity to offer tributes to the late Chief Minister. The Gandhi scion dubbed YSR as a visionary leader who gave his best for the betterment of the people.
"My tributes to senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ji, on his birth anniversary. He was a visionary leader who devoted his life to the betterment of the people of Andhra Pradesh. He shall always be remembered," Rahul Gandhi said.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Revanth Reddy took to Twitter to offer tributes to the leader on his birth anniversary. âMy tributes to former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, shri Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy garu on his birth anniversary,â Revanth Reddy tweeted.
YSR started his political career as an MLA from Pulivendula. Later, he became the MP from the Kadapa constituency. Before becoming the Chief Minister, he served as the Cabinet Minister and held a few portfolios.
YSR served as the CM of the state for two terms in 2004 and 2009. For two consecutive terms, he won the elections with people supporting him. He focused on welfare and brought flagship schemes like Aarogyasri and Fee reimbursement. A deadly helicopter crash that happened on September 2, 2009, claimed his life. His son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is continuing his legacy in politics now.
