Crucial Development Takes Place In Adani Row?
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 May 2023 12:45 AM ISTGujarat-based business tycoon Gautam Adani rose to super fame during the Covid time and people wonder how he managed to do so when others struggled. But the bubble of his growth burst when the American-based Hindenburg Research carried out a sensational story on the Adani umpire.
The Hindenburg Research report left a big impact on Gautam Adani industries as the company started losing its share value and the company is said to have lost millions of dollars after the report. The issue also created a sensation in India and the opposition parties are targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Adani row even reached the Supreme Court and the court would hear the issue on the 12th of this month. A committee has been set up to probe the matter. A former judge heads the body and a few prominent people are members of the committee.
Former Supreme Court judge A.M. Sapre is the head of the committee which also comprises retired high court judge J.P. Devadhar, Infosys cofounder Nandan Nilekani, securities lawyer Somasekhar Sundaresan and ex-bankers K.V. Kamath and O.P. Bhatt.
A crucial development happened in the case as the committee is said to have submitted its report to the Supreme Court. Though there is no clarity on what the committee said in the report, a sealed cover reportedly reaching the Supreme Court caught everyoneâs attention.
