Devineni Uma Becomes Friendless In Krishna District

Till a year ago, he was the most powerful TDP politician in Krishna district. Proximity to Chandrababu and key ministership have made his very powerful and his word was law when it came to party appointments. But, things have now changed completely. Devineni Uma, who once ruled the roost in Krishna district, is now a toothless tiger.
What is more disconcerting For Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao is that Chandrababu Naidu's latest decision to make Parliamentary constituency incharges key persons in the party. This means the district president has practically no power in the party. While Devineni baiter Nettem Raghuram is the incharge for Vijayawada MP seat, Konakalla Narayana is the incharge for Machilipatnam Lok Sabha seat. In Machilipatnam, Uma backer Bachula Arjunudu has been sidelined.
Sources say Uma's imperious ways have alienated several TDP leaders. Many TDP leaders feel that his abrasive ways are a big put off. As a result, there is literally no support for him in Krishna district. Now, he will have to work under Nettem Raghuram, who has for many years been inactive in the party.
