District Judge who alleged harassment Reinstated by SC!

Hearing a petition, the country's top court Supreme Court had issued a sensational verdict in the much-talked-about case that traces back to around eight years. The Apex Court had issued directives to the state High Court to reinstate the judicial officer in her position.
The Division Bench of Supreme Court comprising justices L Nageswara Rao and B R Gavai heard the petition and directed that the judge who had quit from her position alleging sex harrasment should be appointed as the district court judge. The High Court was directed by the Supreme Court to do so.
Getting into details of the case, the issue traces back to 2014. A woman judge who used to render her services as the Additional District Judge in Madhya Pradesh had alleged that she was harassed by the then High Court judge. She even alleged that she was reportedly asked by the court to dance for an item number.
The issue reported in Madhya Pradesh had attracted the attention of national media when the woman judicial officer had taken her issue to the President and Chief Justice of India. She had written to them on the alleged issue. In the letters, she alleged that her transfer was also impacted by the High Court judge.
After the issue created an uproar, a panel was set up to probe the issue. The woman officer faced a big shock when the High Court Judge against whom she leveled allegations was cleared in the controversy. The Judge got a clean chit.
After the setback, she had approached the High Court seeking directives to grant directives to appoint her again. However, the Madhya Pradesh High Court told the officer that she cannot entertain the petition.
With no option left, she had knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court to look into her request. The Supreme Court gave her a major relief by directing the Madhya Pradesh High Court to appoint her at the lower court.
Having granted the relief, the Division Bench of the Supreme Court said that the salary she lost all the days cannot be granted, media reports said.
