Divya Vani affair exposes caste imbalance in TDP

L'affire Divya Vani has once again exposed the chinks in the TDP armour. It has brought out the fact that the TDP is essentially a party dominated by one community and that all the levers of power are concentrated in the hands of this one group. Leaders like Divya Vani, however sincere, are always looked upon with suspicion.
This is in stark contrast with the YSRCP, which is working hard to erase the image of being dominated by one particular community. Be it the Rajya Sabha nominations or ministry reconfiguration, Jagan is ensuring that the social balance is taken into account and that every major community is getting commensurate representation in the party and in the government.
Interestingly, Divya Vani was upset that the party is dominated by Kammas and despite being sincere, she is viewed with suspicion for being a Christian. She strongly feels that the party views her as a covert of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, a Christian himself. She is said to have pointed out that national spokesperson Pattabhi,TDP Knowledge Committee chief Malyadri, TDP office secretary TD Jnardhan, TDP Media incharge Anil are all from one community.
At a time when TDP is working overtime to bring various communities back into the party, Divya Vani affair has exposed the weakest aspect in the party. The YSRCP, on the other hand, is working to ensure adequate representation to all the communities in the state.
