Etala's mercurial move has KCR in a fix

Eatala Rajender's calculated statement that he would contest from Gajwel and defeat KCR on his home turn is creating ripples in the ruling TRS. The TRS circles feel that Eatala has played a great mind game with the TRS in general and KCR in particular. They are of the opinion that Eatala has almost trapped KCR with his statements.
Eatala made this statement as he has inside information that KCR might switch his constituency this time. There are reports that he would make Vanteru Pratap Reddy the candidate from Gajwel and shift to Siddipet. However, Eatala's statement has put KCR in a fix. If he changes his constituency now, it would be seen as running away from a fight. This would give a psychological advantage to the BJP.
If KCR chooses to contest from Gajwel, then he has to marshal all his resources to win as Eatala is no pushover. Eatala has deep connections in Gajwel and has in fact began his businesses in Gajwel constituency. If KCR is tied down to his constituency, he may not be able to campaign in other constituencies. This will affect the overall fortune of the party.

If KCR fights from Siddipet, Harish Rao would be forced to contest from either Dubbak or Sangareddy. So, by announcing that he would contest from Gajwel, Eatala has forced KCR to stay put in Gajwel. This means that Harish Rao would be the candidate from Siddipet.
