Gautam Gambhir set to return to the IPL in different role

But the player will not serve the team as a player but he will play a big role in leading and guiding the team. Paving the way for the ace player to work with the IPL for one more the newly formed franchise had roped in, the ace player.
Left Handed batsman Gautam Gambhir who later went to venture into politics and represent the party in Parliament will now serve the Lucknow franchise as a mentor. The team had announced the same just now and the player reacted to the same by thanking them for his new role.
Gautam Gambhir had issued a statement to share his happiness of being appointed as the mentor for the Lucknow team. Saying that he will fight for the soul of Uttar Pradesh, Gambhir said, he possesses the fire to emerge victorious in the contest.
"Thanks a lot to Dr Goenka and the RPSG Group for presenting me this wonderful opportunity in their setup. "The fire to win a contest still burns bright inside me, the desire to leave a winner's legacy still kicks me 24x7. I will not be contesting for a dressing room but for the spirit and soul of Uttar Pradesh," Gautam Gambhir's statement reads.

During his stint with the Kolkata Knight Riders team, he took his team to many memorable wins, and under his captaincy, the team went on to win an IPL trophy. The Lucknow team management had highlighted the same and wished that Gambhir's fire would bring the spark in the team.
