Until a few months back Mukesh Ambani used to be the richest Indian and Asian. But a Gujarat Business tycoon came into the picture all of a sudden and he took over Mukesh Ambani. Not just that he even made it to the list of richest persons in the world.

Gujarat-based tycoon Gautam Adani shot to super fortune in 2020. When the whole world faced the wrath of the Covid outbreak Gautam Adani added good fortune to his name and the fields he works in got bigger, be it seaports and energy.

Gautam Adani seeing big fortunes all of a sudden made him face severe criticism that the Union Government favoured him and created a good space for him to prosper. As Gautam Adani hails from Gujarat which is also the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah the criticism got momentum.

Gautam Adani got a stake in the NDTV channel which is not a pro-BJP media and the development sent shocking waves. Activists and experts from other nations also express concerns about democracy and media rights in India.

Amid this Gautam Adani made some interesting comments on his career as a business tycoon and his career took off. As an unexpected thing, he credited Rajiv Gandhi for this and took everyone by surprise.

Adding further Gautam Adani said that many might not believe that his career took a good start when Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister. The idea to liberalise the export-imports helped me. Just like other entrepreneurs, I got an advantage when many economic reforms were brought by Narasimha Rao and Manmohan Singh.

He made these comments during an interview. Talking about the criticism he faced, Gautam Adani said that as Narendra Modi is also from Gujarat he is targeted and such baseless criticism comes from people. Gautam Adani said that institutional reforms brought by many governments helped him.

"Prime Minister Modi and I are from the same state. That makes me the easy target of such baseless allegations... It is unfortunate that such narratives are being pushed against me," Gautam Adani said in his recent interview.
