Has Lokesh decided not to align with BJP in 2024 elections?

Has the TDP decided not to have any truck with the BJP? Is this why it is issuing statements that are red rags to the BJP? Otherwise how would anyone explain the recent statements of TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Islamic Bank and the GST during the course of his 'Yuva Galam' padayatra.
Earlier, he told the Muslims that the TDP would launch an Islamic Bank if it came to power. The Islamic banks are not in operation even in Muslim countries. But, Lokesh promised to set up such banks that give loans without interest. This is not taken kindly by the BJP establishment. Though Lokesh has not repeated the assurance elsewhere, the disquiet in the BJP has not subsided.
The latest red rag is Lokesh Babu's statement on the GST. He told the handloom weaver that he would remove the GST on handlooms if he came to power. This too could ruffle quite a few feathers in the BJP. These statements could prove to be irritants in the path of reconciliation with the BJP ahead of the 2024 elections, which the TDP has to win at any cost, feel political analysts.
As of now, the BJP has already made its intention clear that it would rather go it alone than align with the TDP in the 2024 election. The TDP is desperate to cobble up a coalition with the Jana Sena and the BJP to ensure that there is no division of anti-YS Jagan Mohan Redd votes. But, with statements like these, the BJP may harden its stand vis a vis an alliance, say political pundits.
